The first week in November was spent by the beavers doing some arts and crafts. The beavers made poppies that they then displayed on Sunday as part of their act of remembrance. Some of the beavers even wanted to wear them to Church Parade! The beavers then took part in the remembrance parade. This month the beavers have been looking at the Disability badge. Everyone in the 50th has been very busy this October.


The beavers have been looking at doing their air activity and their communicator’s badge. They started off October by making paper planed and having a competition to see who could make the best plane. They have looked at Morse code and have practised writing messages with it, along with writing letters to other beavers in other countries, to form a pen pal relationship. In December the beavers started with having a games night where they all had fun and enjoyed playing some new and different games that they had not played before. They have also been preparing for Christmas with making different decorations. In November the beavers have been looking at the Solar system and all the stars and planets in the sky. They started off the month playing games and getting back in to the swing of things after the holidays. In October, the Beavers kicked off the month by learning about recycling. The Beavers have also taken part in a nature walk in which they had to find an object in nature for every letter of the alphabet. They also had to find different objects on the walk that they could pick up and take home to make a collage with. In September we set off with games for Beavers so that the new beavers could join in and feel welcome and get to know the other beavers so that they had friends. We had a few new Beavers join but unfortunately we had a few Beavers moving up to Cubs. On Saturday we arrived at The Kent County Showground and told where we had to go to get to the Evolve Subcamp. We spent ages going the whole way round the one-way system to find our tiny campsite! Once we got there we unloaded all the stuff from the two vans and then we started pitching camp. In the month of April, the beavers have been doing a variety of different activities. They started April off after the half term with some games and outside activities as the sun was finally out! During September, the 50th Medway Towns Scout Group has been very busy.


The beavers have been looking at Healthy eating and have been preparing different foods. They have made banana and strawberry milkshakes, the banana ones tasting better!
